Hi there! I’m Aurora Grace—the creator, chief crafter, and tool-tester behind Craft Ideas.

Whether you are a parent searching for low-mess, sensory-rich activities to keep your kids off their screens, or a dedicated hobbyist looking for honest reviews on the best craft machines, you have found your creative home!
My Crafting Journey: From Kitchen Science to Art Studios
Like many parents, I am constantly looking for fun, engaging, and educational activities for my kids. I spent countless hours in my “kitchen laboratory” testing out foolproof recipes. From mixing up the perfect science experiment to make bouncing bubbles that don’t pop, to creating taste-safe slime and edible frosting play dough, my goal has always been to make STEM and sensory play accessible, fun, and safe for little ones.
I created the Kids Crafts section of this blog to share these tried-and-true projects. I want to help parents and teachers easily recreate these magical, hands-on learning moments without the stress!
Real Experience with Real Craft Tools (For the Adults!)
But Craft Ideas isn’t just for the kids! I am also a passionate crafter with over 10 years of experience. Whether it’s paper crafting, macrame, or working with watercolors, I absolutely love the process of making things by hand.
However, I know firsthand how overwhelming (and expensive!) it can be to start a new hobby. Which die-cutting machine is actually worth the investment? Do you really need professional-grade paints?
That is why I dedicated a huge portion of this blog to the Craft Supplies & Tools section. I spend my time rigorously testing and reviewing equipment so you don’t have to guess. From running felt and cardstock through the Sizzix Big Shot and the Cricut Joy, to testing the blending capabilities of Daniel Smith Essentials Watercolors and finding the sharpest sewing scissors, I share my genuine, hands-on experiences. My mission is to help you choose the right tools the first time, saving you time and money so you can focus entirely on your creativity.
My Promise to You
Your trust means the world to me. Because I review products and write gift guides, you will sometimes see affiliate links on my posts.
Here is my promise: If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at absolutely no extra cost to you. This helps keep the lights on at Craft Ideas! Most importantly, every single review on this site is based on my own thorough research, real-life testing, and honest opinions. I only recommend tools and supplies that I genuinely love and use myself.
