19 Wrapping Paper Christmas Crafts – Creative Ways to Upcycle Holiday Paper
Easy Crafts Ideas - 0So, you’ve wrapped all your gifts, right? (Ha! In a perfect universe, where you actually have 2 hours to yourself, maybe… Believe me, I get it.) But let’s say that you have wrapped them. You’ve cut perfect rectangles of wrapping paper, and you’ve carefully folded and taped the gifts closed. What did you do with all of the wrapping paper scraps? It drives me crazy when I have a 6″ wide strip of fancy wrapping paper leftover when I wrap something. Do you save it? Do you throw it away? What do you do with it?
I totally did it you guys! I pulled out my rolling pin and cookie cutters AND I made homemade icing AND used a piping bag. Holy cow, it was a busy day in this household! It might not sound like a lot, but I’m a total newbie at this. I haven’t used my rolling pin since we first got married. And I’ve never ever made homemade icing before. Ever. I’m not convinced I made it with the right consistency, but it was delicious, and my Christmas tree sugar cookies turned out beautifully! So I’ll count it as a win!

Hanging them on the house might not be my favourite thing to do (or my husband’s for that matter…), but I sure love coming home when it’s dark outside and seeing our house all lit up in bright lights! Every evening, I stand outside my car for a few moments and admire them before I go into the house. It’s just so festive, it makes me smile!
How to Make Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees – A Sweet Holiday Treat
Easy Crafts Ideas - 0For the past couple of years, I’ve bought our Halloween candy purposely looking for the boxes that have peanut butter cups in them. Then, and I don’t know how it happens (ha!), but 3 or 4 days later, all of the peanut butter cups are gone!? So, I have to go out and buy an extra bag or two of just Reese peanut butter cups on their own. You know, so we don’t run out and all.
I had no idea that as a parent, Christmas would come with so much work and stress!? Christmas shopping. Wrapping. Planning Christmas dinner. Hosting it for 20 people. Cleaning the house to make it respectable for visitors. And to top it all off my husband’s birthday is a couple days before Christmas too. Ahhhhh!!
I have fallen in love with this craft. These Christmas ornament balls are so pretty, and what’s amazing is that they are actually made from CD’s! I’m sure we all have tons of CD’s lying around the house just looking for some attention. I highly recommend that you check out Creme de la Craft to see how these are made. They have an awesome 90 second video tutorial that shows you exactly how to make them. Wouldn’t you love to make some of these!?
