Tools needed:

  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Paint or markers
  • Googly eyes
  • Yellow feathers

Materials needed:

  • Egg carton
  • Yellow and orange construction paper
  • Yellow pipe cleaners
  • White paper

Instructions:

  1. Cut out individual cups from the egg carton.
  2. Paint the outside of each cup with yellow paint or use markers to color them yellow.
  3. Cut out small triangles from the orange construction paper to make beaks.
  4. Glue the beaks onto the front of each cup.
  5. Glue googly eyes above the beaks.
  6. Cut out small wings from the yellow construction paper and glue them to the sides of the cups.

  8. Glue the twisted end of the pipe cleaner to the bottom of the cup to create the chick’s legs.
  9. Cut out small feet shapes from the orange construction paper and glue them to the ends of the pipe cleaner legs.
  10. Glue a few yellow feathers to the back of each chick to create a tail.
  11. Cut out small diamond shapes from white paper and glue them to the front of each chick to create wings.
  12. Allow the chicks to dry completely before handling or displaying.
