38 Handmade Christmas Ornaments - Paper Star Ornament

Hello! I’m Megan and I blog over at Homemade Ginger where I post DIY projects, craft tutorials, home decor ideas and more! I’m all about creating lovely things without spending a lot of money.

This saltine cracker toffee is incredibly addictive! It's so simple to make but it tastes amazing!! You NEED to try these!!

My kids love candy, but they really haven’t developed a taste for home baked goodies yet. Which KILLS me. I have all these fun recipes I want to try, but my gluten free husband won’t eat them, and my crazy kids take a bite and say “Um, mommy, that’s too sweet!” Too sweet!? You’ll eat pounds of sugar coated gummies (if I let you), but my fresh cakes, bars and cookies are too sweet!? Little weirdos.

38 Handmade Christmas Ornaments - Pinecone Gnome Ornaments

Hello! I’m Megan and I blog over at Homemade Ginger where I love to share all about modern craft tutorials, home decor projects and the occasional recipe that make life a little more beautiful.

Melted peppermint candy ornaments

You know when you see an idea on Pinterest, and you get really excited, and you think to yourself, “Oh! Oh! Oh! I’ve gotta try this!”? That’s how I felt about these melted peppermint candy ornaments! I have wanted to try making them for YEARS. (Seriously, aren’t they adorable!?)

These popsicle stick Christmas trees are SO EASY to make and they're so beautiful! The kids loved decorating them! Such an awesome dollar store Christmas craft idea!!

You know those packs of coloured popsicle sticks that you can buy in the craft section at the dollar store? I keep buying them. And I’ll be honest. I have NO idea what crafts I’m supposed to do with them!? I’m a pretty crafty person, but those usually leave me pretty stumped. When my kids are looking for a craft, I usually give them a few coloured popsicle sticks, pass them a bottle of glue, some pipe cleaners, pom poms and googly eyes and see what they come up with. lol We get some VERY strange looking cats and a whole lot of magic wands!

These easy snowman cupcakes would be PERFECT for a winter birthday party, a Christmas party, or just a fun baking activity with the kids! So cute and easy!

These wrapping paper Christmas crafts are PERFECT for those scraps of paper that are too big to throw away, but too small to wrap something! So many great ideas!

So, you’ve wrapped all your gifts, right? (Ha! In a perfect universe, where you actually have 2 hours to yourself, maybe… Believe me, I get it.) But let’s say that you have wrapped them. You’ve cut perfect rectangles of wrapping paper, and you’ve carefully folded and taped the gifts closed. What did you do with all of the wrapping paper scraps? It drives me crazy when I have a 6″ wide strip of fancy wrapping paper leftover when I wrap something. Do you save it? Do you throw it away? What do you do with it?

I LOVE the fir tree texture! Follow this easy piping method and then decorate them however you like! The recipe makes PERFECT, fool proof cookies that are perfect for decorating!

I totally did it you guys! I pulled out my rolling pin and cookie cutters AND I made homemade icing AND used a piping bag. Holy cow, it was a busy day in this household! It might not sound like a lot, but I’m a total newbie at this. I haven’t used my rolling pin since we first got married. And I’ve never ever made homemade icing before. Ever. I’m not convinced I made it with the right consistency, but it was delicious, and my Christmas tree sugar cookies turned out beautifully! So I’ll count it as a win!

Pumpkin Craft - Chalk Stenciled Pumpkins

It has been way too long since we last pulled out the sidewalk chalk! And since it’s too cold to play outside, what better way to use it than in an awesome Christmas art project!
